- The theme/purpose of this marathon is to promote Kumamon (the mascot of Kumamoto) and cherryblossoms, in the name of rebuilding/reconstruction of Kumamoto.

| Points to note | All participants accept full responsibility for any illness, accident or injury. However, during the event, if you feel unwell or have a serious accident, first aid/medical treatment will be available. |
| Terms and Conditions (Contract) | 1. Participation in this event is decided on a first-payment, first-serve basis. Accordingly, in the event that registration applications is nearing capacity, we may put you on a waitlist until we confirm payment registration. In the event you are placed on the waitlist, the Event Committee may contact you by phone or email. 2. Participation registration fee will not be refunded and no changes to your entry will be permitted after payment has been made. Cancellation fee will be charged 100% of participation fee if you can cancel or change registration. If on the day of the event, the registered participant cannot participate, no refund will be given. 3. The event will still proceed in the event of rain. However the event may be cancelled due to storm or typhoon. If it is decided that the event will be cancelled, we will notify you, two hours in advance of the start time. If the event is cancelled due to bad weather, natural disaster, etc, no refund of entry fee will be given. 4. The handling of the participant personal information will be in accordance with the Organizer's policy. Please also note that we cannot accept proxy/substitute runners and we are not responsible for any information which has been falsely or inaccurately provided. 5. Please note that in participating, you consent to the following: personal information such as name, age, gender, portrait/image etc may be recorded by the Event Organiser and may be reported, published or used in newspapers, TV, magazines, the Internet, pamphlets, promotional/advertising etc. Please note that the Event Organiser has ownership and usage rights. 6. Please note that your application will be rejected/disqualified if you provide false information including your name, age, gender, telephone number etc. We will not accept participation other than by the registered participant. No proxy runner or substitute participants are permitted. In the event, we discover or find out a participant is not a valid registered participant, they will not be entitled to participate or receive awards etc. The decision of the Race Organiser is final. 7. Applicants participate at their own risk and health, and are responsible for any injury, accident, loss etc. Participants should be healthy in fit condition, and have adequately trained. 8. You understand and accept that the Event Organiser may either cancel or discontinue the event once it has started if it is deemed that it may be dangerous to proceed. You are to immediately follow all instructions/directions given by Event staff particularly with regard to safety management. 9. Please be forewarned (and you understand and accept) that if you get injured or sick during the event, that you will receive first aid, and you will not question or hold the Event Organizer liable for any treatment, method etc given or provided. 10. In the event of accident, loss or injury sustained during the event, the Event Organiser is exempt from all responsibility and will not be held liable. You consent to not pursue damages/compensation from the Event Organiser. In the event of an accident/injury with another participant, the disagreement will be resolved between the parties directly. 11. Junior high school students and younger, must have parental/guardian consent to participate. If it is discovered that a false declaration was made or no parental/guardian consent provided, you will accept the Event Organiser's decision to disqualify the participation and remove any recognition including prizes, awards etc. |
