- This is an event that has been organised by the Race Organisers over 100 times at the Imperial Palace.

- Everyone can participate! This event is suitable for beginners through to advanced runners as well as parent-child pairs.

- Participation goods will be distributed, as well as prizes for top places. Prizes have been supplied by Glico Power Production.

- This is a fun enjoyable event, providing a great opportunity to make memories with your family, those who want to challenge themselves and set a new record, as well as beginner runners who want to try their first run event. Have fun making new friends and enjoy running.

Points to note when registering

If entering the 5km parent-child fun run:
Only the participating parent/guardian (1 person) need register on behalf of the parent-child pair.
Please enter in the relevant fields for the child details, after selecting the relevant race category.
Children do not need to be registered as a Sports Entry member.
The registration fee price is based per pair.

If entering the 20km relay:
Only one team representative needs to register on behalf of the team

Course features The Imperial Palace, Sakuradamon Gate is the start and finish point. One lap of the Palace is a 5km course.

Competition procedures Regarding the 20km relay
For the 20km relay, each runner must complete one full lap before the next member can start.
Please pass the relay ribbon within the dedicated zone/area. You cannot pass the relay button during the race course.
Schedule Opening ceremony: 9am (Will take place at the Imperial Palace Sakuradamon Gate)

Terms and Conditions (Contract) In registering for this event, all participants agree to the below terms, conditions and rules:
All participants who are registered for this event will be deemed to have consented to all the following race event rules.

1. During the course of participating in this event, please be sure to follow all the instructions and directions provided by the Race Organiser and event staff.

2. You cannot cancel or make any changes to your application after registering. Furthermore no refunds or repayments will be given if you cancel or make an overpayment.

3. The schedule and course route as planned, may be subject to change due to safety considerations. In the event that any race details may change, please check the event website for the latest updates.

4. Registered participants accept that no refund will be given will given in any circumstance in the event that the race may be cancelled or stopped mid-race including due to earthquake, flood, snow, severe weather, accident, incident, disease outbreak etc. The event may be subject to cancellation or shortening or change of the course.

5. If due to severe weather (storm etc), participant safety might be comprised, the competition may need to be cancelled or stopped.

6. If an emergency such as a disaster or serious accident occurs, the competition shall be terminated.

7. Registered participants confirm they are fit and in healthy condition and not suffering from a heart condition or illness. Participants should have trained sufficiently and participate at their own risk. Participants should seek medical consent before participating. Participants should refrain from participating if they are unwell on the day.

8. Registered participants agree to comply with the instructions and directions of race staff in the event that the event is cancelled or cannot continue or proceed once the race has started.

9. In the event of accident, injury etc, registered participants consent to receiving emergency first aid. The Race Organiser accepts no responsibility regarding treatment or procedure given. Other than emergency first aid, and medical treatment is your responsibility.

10. Registered participants exempt the Race Organiser from all liability and responsibility for any accident, loss, damage, injury etc during the event as a result of change in weather, fire or other outbreak or emergency. The Race Organiser is not responsible for any damages or compensations.

11. Registered participants confirm that compensation for any accident or injury that occurs during the event is limited to within the scope of insurance subscribed to by the Race Organiser.

12. The family and relatives of the registered applicant (including parents of children and team member representatives) are aware of your participation in this event and acknowledge your participation.

13. We will not accept any false information in relation to a participant's age, gender, etc. We will not accept substitute/proxy runners. In the event that we discover false or misleading information the Race Organiser may disqualify a participant from any awards, prizes and participation in this event and future events. In addition, the Race Ograniser does not assume any responsibility such as damages or refund etc for a false declaration or to a proxy/substitute runner.

14. Registered participants consent that they may appear in event photos, video, articles, result records (will include personal information such as name, age gender, time record etc), tv, newspapers, magazines, internet, social media etc, other publications and media etc. Furthermore, the rights and use of such materials belongs to the Race Organiser. In addition, you accept that your details (name gender and race bib number) will be published on the event website.

15. Participant personal information will be handled in accordance with the with the Race Organiser's terms and conditions, and policies set out separately.

16. For the relay category: teams will be assembled together. The running order and number of laps is up to the team. One person needs to complete at least one lap before passing the relay ribbon to the next person. You may run any number of laps, but all members must run at least one lap. The relay ribbon must be passed within the designated zone. You are not permitted to pass the relay ribbon on the race course. Proxy/substitute runners will not be accepted.

17. In the case of machine recording, time recording and lap counter check will be used. For this reason, runners must make sure that the timer chip is attached whilst participating in this race. Registered participants also understand that the timer chip is a temporary loan to be returned at the event. If a runner fails to return it on the day, you agree to arrange for the timer chip to be returned later on by mail at your expense. If you lose the timer chip or fail to return it for whatever reason, you will be liable to pay 4200yen to cover the cost of the timer chip. Any transfer fees associated with making the payment are at your expense. You must comply with the request from the Race Organiser to return the timer chip or make repayment.

18. If you set up your changing room or luggage holding space or facility , please note we will not accept any responsibility for loss, theft, damage etc.

19. The race course is not exclusive to this marathon event so please be careful of public pedestrians and the general public. Any accident caused by contact with other members of the public is your responsibility. In addition, please take home all your rubbish with you.

20. We will not accept nor take any responsibility if you are late to the race event due to traffic or public transport delays etc.

21. During the race event, runners and participants may be stopped to allow emergency vehicles to pass etc. Priority must be given to these vehicles. In such circumstances, your time record will not be adjusted.

22. If during the race you stop for any reasons during the course, please note that your time record will not be adjusted.

23. There is no particular stipulation regarding uniform, however if the Race Organiser deems that clothing is offensive or inappropriate etc, you may be required to change your clothes.

24. Please adhere to the rules of this event to ensure that all participants can race safely and enjoy the event.
Other - Changing room facilities and luggage storage service will not be provided.
(Please make sure of the public running station facilities located around the Imperial Palace).
- You are responsible for looking after your own valuables etc
- Please note the Race Organising Committee cannot accept any responsibility for any property lost at the Imperial Palace site.
- If the prize award ceremony cannot be held due to bad weather, we will contact the relevant people following the race day by mail.
- Setting up tents, blue ground sheets, tarpaulins etc are prohibited around the Sakuradamon Gate area.
- Please assemble in the starting area 5 minutes before the race start.
