Important NotesOur goal is to have zero accidents!
This event takes place during a long weekend along the general national and prefectural roads of Oita prefecture. You can enjoy the hospitality of the local region and the natural landscape.
We ask for your support in helping to keep this event going for many years to come.
This event is not a race competition. Your time and whether you win or lose is irrelevant. You must follow the traffic rules that apply to general roads and traffic. All participants who finish within the cut-off time will receive a finisher's prize.
I will take into consideration the time, and not take long leisurely lunch breaks or disregard traffic lights. In addition, I will not ride in packs and change leaders. Give way on the left side to following cars to allow them to pass so as to avoid criticism from the general public.
Participating in the event without have registered is prohibited. It is troublesome and disrespectful to the many people involved in the management of the event. Strict checks will take place to check proper registered entrants. Please don't try to enter without having properly registered.
Each race category along the Kunisaki Peninsula has a section where the elevation difference is quite difficult. It's likely that during the cut-off gate area there'll be congestion.
Course B and C are more leisurely options enabling you to still take in the sights and experience the cycling event without doing the full distance.
Please pay attention to sharp ascents and descents (ups and downs may be steep) particularly within the mountainous sections. Please be mindful and cycle safely to avoid falls and accidents.
Please be careful and watched out for sudden cars and mini bikes at intersections.
Please be sure to have your bike inspected prior to the race.
When cycling through tunnels, please be sure to turn on headlights and tail lights, as it will be dark.
