- Futtsu Prefectural Park is listed as one of Japan top's 100 White sand green pine grove locationsin Japan and one of Kanto region's 100 views of Mount Fuji viewing locations, surrounded by the sea. On a clear day you can see the majestic Mount Fuji. This is also a comfortable run for beginners as well as those looking to aim for a personal best time.

Traffic and parking is expected to be very busy and crowded at around 8am, so please arrive early to ensure sufficient time and avoid traffic delays.

※ The 40th Chiba Prefectural Marathon is an afficilated race of the RUN as ONE-Tokyo Marathon 2019 (semi-elite).
The top runner who satisfies the recommendation criteria in the Official registered athletes cateogry will be granted the right to run the 2019 Tokyo Marathon.

Entry eligibilityParticipants who can complete the distances within the respective time limits, regardless of nationality are eligible to enter in the relevant categories below:
Half (Official / General Public): Males and Females aged 18 or older (For the Official category, participants must be a registered with the Japan Athletics Association Federation)
At the time of registering, you will be required to enter in your JAAF ID (11 digits) and your Registered Prefecture and name of Registered Organisation.
*If there is any omision of information, it will be treated as an general public entry application.
3km: Junior high school students male and female
2km: Elementary high school students (Grades 1-3 and Grades 4-6)
Course featuresThis is a fast and flat course with little to no elevation changes.
The course will pass through Cape Futtsu, and rows of pine trees, and on a clear day, a view of Mount Fuji is possible. It should be a comfortable run with the road fully closed allowing 2 full lanes for runners.

Points to note1)This race will be based on the 2017 Federation of Japan Athletics Association Rules and general Convention rules

2)Age is based on the day of the actual race day

3)Elementary and junior high school students will require the consent of a parent or guardian. Entry will be invalid if there is no seal/signature of a parent or guardian.

4)Changes or cancellations to entries will not be permitted after registration/application

5)Traffic will be restricted between 9am-12noon

6)The Race Organiser will be covered by accident insurance but will nottake any responsibility except for emergency measures in the case of illnes or accident. Please be sure to bring your health insurance card with you.

7)Participants should be in good health condition. Participants enter at their own risk and should consult a doctor in advance.

8)On the day of the race, if you feel sick or become unwell, be sure to rest or stop.

9)Valuables and baggage can be stored in the designated storage area. Please note that be responsibility will be accepted for theft or loss etc.

10)Elementary school students will need to be accompanied to the race venue with a parent or guardian.

11)As there is a limited number of carparking spots, please use public transport if possible. Please also note that you will not be able to exit the carpark until the event is over.

12)This race event will use time recording chips. Please note that the time recorded will be based on the start gun to the finish line.

13)False declarations of age, gender etc is not allowed. No substitute runners are allowed (only the registered runner is allowed to run). Participants may be disqualified if false information or a proxy/substitute runner is discovered.

14)The Race Organiser retains right, ownership and use of any photos, video recording, articles, records etc throughout the event for publication or broadcast in newspapers, TV, magazines, Internet etc.

The details of the event will be published the day after the event (on Monday 5 March). All participants' records is scheduled to be published on 7 and 8 March in the Chiba Daily.
Terms and conditionsApplication conditions
When registering for the event, particaipnts hereby agree to the following application terms and fill in the necessary items.

1)I agree to comply with the regulations, instructions etc provided by the Race Organiser.

2)If an emergency happens during the event, the affected person/s, family representatives, guardians, related persons etc. will not claim damage insurance beyond that provided for in the insurance provided by the Race Organiser regardless of the cause of the accident. Furthermore, you agree to not pursue any claim against to the Race Organizer and other stakeholders.

3)If on race day your health condition is bad, please withdraw and refrain from participating.Furthermore, after you have paid for registration, no cancellation or refund to entry fees will be given even due to personal circumstances.

4)During the race, participants themselves shall bear all responsibility for their own belongings (items and equipment) and also that of other participants.

5)The Race Organizer is permitted to use the participant names and photos, etc. for publication and broadcast for newspapers, broadcasts, .news, TV etc.

6)I acknowledge that the participation fee will not be refunded if the event is canceled due to bad weather conditions such as heavy rain or strong wind, natural disasters or other cirumstance.

7)Parking is not permissible outside of designated parking areas. Please also further note that you will not be permitted to leave the car park until the event is finished.

8)In the interest of participant safety, if the Race Organising Committee deem that the race be discontinued, I will accept their decision and right to cancel or discontinue the event.

9)If you forget to bring your race number card on the day of the event, a reissue/registration fee will apply.

Regarding the handling of personal information
The Race Organizer acknowledges the importance of personal information, and strictly observes the laws and practices related to personal information protection and privacy laws, and will handlepersonal information based on the Organizer's personal information protection policy. It will not be used for purposes other than notification of participation in the event, and information related to the event.
