The race venue is a place where water sports enthusiasts gather
This open water swim race is hosted by the Japan International Open Water Swimming Association. The race will be held at Nagahama Beach, Yokosuka city, Kanagawa Prefecture with distance options of 500m, 1km, 1.5km and 3km. The average water temperature is 21-22 degrees celcius. Wetsuits are permitted in all race categories.
The Nagahama coastline is famour for it's beautiful beach scenery and clear waters. Throughout the year, people enjoy various watersports activity such as windsurfing, yachting, and sea kayaking. From central Tokyo, it's approx. 2 hours by train and bus.
