Recommended Arrival Time at the Race Start**:
3:30am ** The Ultra Marathon will be starting from James Cook University (JCU). Transfers from Port Douglas to the race start will be available. Please check website for details closer the date.
Start Time: 4:30am
Cut off time: At 3pm OR at the 57km mark OR at the discretion of the Race Director or Race Doctor. Only well prepared competitors should register. Conditions will be challenging.

Redkite Fundy 5000 Race Information This race encourages all shapes, sizes and ages, visitors and locals to join in the fun and dress up or down in the name of Redkite. Prizes on the day will be on offer for the most outstanding entrants. Redkite provides essential support to children and young people with cancer and their families from hospital to home. This vital support includes information, counselling, financial assistance and help keeping up with school, university and training.

With all proceeds going to Redkite - helping children and young people with cancer - we hope you\'ll join us in the Redkite Fundy 5000.

Recommended Arrival Time at the Race Start: 8:30am. Race start will be at Cnr of Wharf and Macrossan Street
Start Time: 9:00am
Cut off time: 1hr 30mins
Team Entries: There are unlimited team numbers for this event. Registrations for teams can be made on the day at the registration tent.
Age Categories: Open****** There is no minimum age for the 5km race however all entrants under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a registered parent/guardian for the entire duration of the race and the accompanying adult takes full responsibility for the safety of the entrant under 12.
Pram Information: PRAMS ARE PERMITTED IN THE REDKITE FUNDY 5000 ONLY AND MUST START AT THE BACK OF THE FIELD.
Dogs: Sorry dogs are not allowed in the Redkite Fundy 5000.
Registrations Close: 8:00am Sunday 3 November. Entries are able to be made the morning of the event from 7:00am.
Registration Pack: There are no race numbers for the Redkite Fundy 5000 however if you have purchased a Marathon running singlet (prior 15 October) you can collect this on Saturday 2 (2-5pm) November or before 8am on the day.
Registration Kit Collection Start / Finish line. Pick up your registration kit at the registration tent set up in Market Park (opposite the Court House Hotel) from 2pm - 5pm on the day before the event, Saturday 2 November.
Courses Ultra Marathon: The Great Barrier Reef Ultra Marathon starts in the James Cook University carpark and makes its way up the range through Kuranda. From Kuranda you follow the scenic Black Mountain Rd through rainforest, passed huge eucalypts, pine plantations and across picturesque creeks.

Half Marathon: The course starts and finishes on Four Mile Beach just off the Esplanade. The course will head up the length of Four Mile Beach and cut across the base of the peninsula and the Caprtain Cook Highway to continue up Ferrero Road. Runners will then make their way down the regions famous cane train tracks towards the Mowbray Valley turn off.

10 km: The course starts and finishes in on Four Mile Beach’s Main Beach. Runners will make their way down the pristine Four Mile Beach. The course then will make its way back up onto the peninsula and return the runners along Royal Palm Road and back into the township of Port Douglas.

Fundy 5000: The course starts and finishes on Four Miles Beach’s Main Beach. Participants make their way down Four Mile Beach to begin with. Then they cut up a beach track and over Port Douglas Road.
