| PR | Held on the last Saturday of every November, the Contact Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge is New Zealand’s premier & largest cycling event, which takes place around the picturesque Lake Taupo. There are a total of 15 event categories with both Road and Mountain Bike options to suit individuals and teams of all cycling and fitness abilities. |

We are an Outdoors Mark safety accredited event and what a great opportunity to experience one of UCI’s six best recreational rides in the world while taking in the spectacular scenery of the Taupo region. As always, this is more than just about doing a bike ride. We provide entertainment from the time you arrive, around the course, as well as live music on the Friday and Saturday. Taupo truly turns it on for participants and supporters alike. |
| Event Locations | All categories are based around Lake Taupo and the surrounding area. The main start and finish is on Tongariro Street, Taupo with all pre- and post-event activities on event day taking place on the Tongariro North Domain and the adjacent Great Lake Centre. |
| Event Registration | Great Lake Centre, Tongariro Street, Taupo Friday 29 November 10am – 10pm Saturday 30 November 6am – 8am Event packs with ride numbers and timing tags built into the bike tags must be collected from Event Registration between the above times. You must print and bring your confirmation email with your bib number to Event Registration to collect your event pack. Event packs for relay teams should be collected by one team member. Late entries will be accepted at Registration. All minor spot prizes are drawn at Registration. |
