1st ONSEN Gastronomy Walking in Snow Monkey Town, YudaNaka shibu onsen

YudaNaka shibu Hot Spring Village opened more than 1,300 years ago and it is the only village in the world where you can see Japanese monkeys bathing in a hot spring.
The walk through the hot spring village with cobblestone streets and overlapping eaves gives you the feel of a Taisho Era romance.
Experience picking your own delicious“Dakara Umai!”brand apples grown in the clear air and water of Shigakogen.
An experience never found in pamphlets, you can encounter Snow Monkey Town with its history and magnificent nature.
Kenji Ogiwara, who is known as the King of Ski, is the Yamanouchi-machi Sport and Culture Ambassador and a gold medalist in the winter Olympics and is scheduled to be a guest.

What is ONSEN Gastronomy Walking？	ONSEN・Gastronomy Tourism is a new tourism that introduces the charm of hot spring resorts in Japan by walking and experiencing the food, nature, culture and history of local areas. We open this event, ONSEN Gastronomy Walking, to enjoy a stroll through the beauty of hot spring areas, to experience our history and nature, to taste local foods and beverages, and finally to soak in a soothing hot spring at the end of the tour.

Scenic point	・Sekai Heiwa Dai-kannon (Great World Peace Deity): 25m-high, this bronze Kannon statue with its gentle smile is the tallest in Japan and stands on the hill above Yudanaka Hot Spring. ・Cobblestone streets of Shibu Hot Springs: The 1,300-year-old hot spring village has Japanese inns with overhanging eaves and once you enter the narrow streets, you will feel like making an adventure. ・Tamamura Honten: An old sake brewery established in 1805. Be sure to visit their art gallery which is located in the renovated storehouse of the 150-year-old sake brewery. ・Kanbayashi Hot Springs: An area where many beloved literati such as Natsume Soseki, Shiga Naoya, and Kikuchi Kan loved to visit. ・THE FARMHOUSE: A company-owned residence of Shigakogen Beer designed by Nobuo, the grandson of Shibusawa Eiichi, in a modern, western architectural style imported from Tokyo. ・Shigakogen Roman Art Museum: Buildings designed by the world renown architect, Kurokawa Kisho, have the theme of "Living with the Nature" by keeping a balance with the surrounding environment but emphasizing uniqueness. ・Enranshosho: A scenic site where Sakuma Shozan, a samurai retainer of the Edo period, wished to build a villa because of his fondness for the view overlooking 5 major mountains of northern Nagano Prefecture. ＊The course may change without notice depending on the weather.
Information on hot springs	YudaNaka shibu Hot Spring District is a hot spring resort consisting of nine hot spring towns. One free bath ticket will be provided to each participant after the event. The ticket is good for one month and good at participating Japanese inns and one-day bathing facilities. You can enjoy the quality of a variety of different hot springs.

The organizer shall not take any responsibility except for emergency measures in case of injury, loss or other accident." 3. The change of time or cancellation by personal reason is not accepted after registration. 4. The event may be canceled in case of an unexpected accident such as natural disaster, stormy weather, or new strain of influenza epidemic, etc. In that case, we can not compensate for the individual expenses such as participation fee, transportation or accommodation expenses." 5.
