|What is ONSEN Gastronomy Walking？
||ONSEN・Gastronomy Tourism is a new tourism that introduces the charm of hot spring resorts in Japan by walking and experiencing the food, nature, culture and history of local areas.
We open this event, ONSEN Gastronomy Walking, to enjoy a stroll through the beauty of hot spring areas, to experience our history and nature, to taste local foods and beverages, and finally to soak in a soothing hot spring at the end of the tour.

Reception window opens at 10:30. Please complete your registration 15 minutes prior to the starting time of your choice of walking. After walking starts, participants will start walking in the order of registration.
||1）Tea and Japanese sweets
Green tea and burdock tea selected by ”Tea House, Sakura-en,” ”Futodon” sweets by ”Fukuju-do” which are named after ”Maruyama,” and ”Envelhecida” shochu by ”Den-en Ruri” will be served.
Rice balls with persimmon miso created by the head chef of ”Aji-no Miyama.” Perfect as is or grilled! ”Murao” shochu will also be served.
3）Kibinago （banded blue-sprat） menu
”Izakaya Sei-chan,” a man famous in the town, will serve Kibinago fish from Koshikishima grilled or as tempura. ”Goro” shochu will also be served.
A local food, Chu-zara will be prepared by the restaurant with the most retro feel in Ichihino, ”Midoriya Ryokan.” ”Nokaido” and ”Bessen-Nokaido” shochu will also be served.
5）Tamago-yaki and Marinated Seasonal Mountain Vegetables
Famous Tamago-yaki （rolled omelets） and marinated spring mountain vegetables will be prepared by the female owner and master cook of ”Mori-no Chanoma.” ”Rokudaime Yuri” shochu will be served.
Only ”Haraguchi Tofu” of Ichihino makes this old-fashioned firm tofu. ”Yamamoto” shochu and plum liqueur made from sweet potato shochu will be served.
Enjoy carefully-selected Wagyu beef served with a special sauce at what has been called the best yakiniku restaurant in Satsumasendai City, ”Wagyu-en.” ”Banshu-no-hai” and ”Heavy OZ (Heavy Ounce)” will be served.
For desert, enjoy the unusually-textured pudding of ”Fukuju-do” made with Onsen spring water of Ichihino.
＊At each walking point, you will find soft drinks made from local produce and mineral-rich Onsen spring water.
Mount Maruyama is well-known in Ichihino and throughout the area. A fairy named ”Futodon” is said to have scooped out the earth with a bowl and the sunken spot is now Imuta-ike (Imuta Lake). As the name suggests, the area covered by dirt is Maruyama (Round Mountain) which has a distinguished dome shape.

Free foot bath and drinkable hot spring water are available for your convenience.
Jizo, a god of rice fields in Wada, wishing for good harvest.
4）［Ichihino Elementary School］
Previously the residence of the village headman, Ono Elementary School was established in 1876 .The name was changed to Onojinjyo Elementary School and then to Suwajinjyo Elementary School. After a middle school was adjoined, it became Ichihino Elementary School in 1921.
5）［Ishikura・Onsen street・Back street］
Enjoy a slow walk on small streets with old-fashioned spa areas and a stone-built warehouse where tobacco leaves were stored long ago.
6）［Midori-ya Ryokan・Yosano Akiko Monument］
Yosano Akiko and her husband, Tekkan, are said to have visited the Onsen and read poetry in this legendry Japanese inn. Her monument stands near by.
The only tofu shop in Ichihino where tofu is made using traditional equipment and recipes. The shop's firm, textured tofu is very popular.
8）［Kyodo-kan］ (Folk Museum)
An interesting place with not only the history of Ichihino, but also exhibitions and information about people from olden time, their lifestyles, and the tools they used.

|Information on hot springs
||During the Edo period, Lord Mitsuhisa Shimazu called the hot spring that gushes out of Shizuki Mountain the ”Fountain of Heaven” and he provided bathtubs for people to use. The simple alkaline water from the hot spring flows continuously from underground into the tubs. The water makes your skin soft and smooth so it is called ”Bijin-no-yu” （hot spring of beauty）. A bath ticket will be given to all participants.
||1. In order to hold the event smoothly and safely, participants shall comply with the regulations specified by the organizer and the traffic regulations.
2. The organizer shall not take any responsibility except for emergency measures in case of injury, loss or other accident."
3. The change of time or cancellation by personal reason is not accepted after registration.
4. The event may be canceled in case of an unexpected accident such as natural disaster, stormy weather, or new strain of influenza epidemic, etc. In that case, we can not compensate for the individual expenses such as participation fee, transportation or accommodation expenses."

6. It will be an event involving alcoholic beverages. Please enjoy the appropriate amount and please refrain from acting to disturb other participants. (loud voice, excessive drinking, etc.)"
7. We may ask for an identification card for age verification. Driving cars, bicycles, etc. with drinking is prohibited by law. Please use public transportation. "
8. The posting rights and portrait rights of the convention videos, pictures and articles, records, applicants' names, ages, addresses (country, prefecture/province) to magazines, Internet, etc., belong to the event organizer.

||About the Weather:
This event will be held even if there is light rain. If the walk is difficult due to weather conditions, the meals will be served only at the starting point, ”Ichihino Onsen-ku Komin-kan” （Ichihino Onsen Public Hall）. Considering the effect of the weather on the event, an announcement will be made on the event website by 17:00 the day before the event.
||No participation notice will be sent to early registrants.
