- Walk and take in the Yatsushiro breeze whilst enjoying the scenery.

- The purpose of this event is enjoy and experience the beauty and romance of Yatsushiro. It aims to promote heathy activity and nature with the opportunity for walkers to meet from all over the world and around Japan to interact with the locals of Yatsushiro region. This is an international walking festival to take in the beauty and abundance of Yatsushiro. It is not a competitive event based on speed and records.

- The 25th Anniversary Kyushu International 3-day March is an event where many walkers from all over Japan and all over the world come together. The various courses allow participants to enjoy the rich nature of the Kumogawa rive, Hikawa river, Yatsushiro sea, mountains and lush greenery. The course also orbits the Yatsushiro (Myoken) shinto shrine which is registered as a UNESCO intagible cultural heritage asset. The various courses allow you to soak in the peace and scenery of the flowers and landscape.

- At the event venue, there will be various entertainment including a mini concert by Aki Yashiro, talk show starring Kimiko Jinnai and appearances by pro baseballer Nobuhiko Matsunaka, plus lots more entertainment to enjoy.

- For the 20lkm/10km/5km course, you can exchange the voucher for the lunch box after reaching the goal/finish line at the Kumagawa Kasenjiki riverside area.

Points to note when registering

- Entry fee
Regardless of the number of days, walking course and distance you participate in, the registration fee is the same amount. Please note that there is no refund if you decide to cancel or unable to participate.
General participant: Advance registration is 1800yen. Registration on the day is 2000yen. Participation souvenir goods etc: Event badge, souvenir item, race bib, course map.
Yatsushiro region local resident participant: Advance registration is 500yen. Registration on the day is 700yen. Participation souvenir goods etc: Race bib, course map.
High school students or younger: Advanced registration is free. Registration on the day is free. Participation souvenir goods etc: Race bib, course map.
Yatsushiro region local resident participant means those who live in Yatsushiro city or Hikawa-machi. For Yatsushiro participants who want the Event programme magazine and the event badge, should register as a "General" participant instead.

- Publication of individual name or group name in the Event programe magazine
Applications received up until March 22 (Friday) will be published/appear in the event programme.
Individual registration: You must register as a general participant. If a family from the Yatsushiro region participants, all family members will be included as general participants and all family member names will be published in tin the event programme.
Group registration: Regardless of whether a general participant or from within the Yatsushiro region, those registered under a Group will be listed/published under the Group number and number of people in the group. Individual member names will not be published.

Participant eligibility criteria Anyone who is healthy and agrees to abide by the event rules and appropriate walking manner and sportsmanship is able to participate. However children need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian and those who need assistance must be accompanied by a caretaker.
Recognition Those who complete the walk, will be given a completion certificate. Also there is a speed lottery for the competition certificate.
For those who complete all three days, will be given an original event pin badge.
Participant notification The participant confirmation/notification card will be mailed out by the Organising Committee between 7-10 days before the event. Please be sure to bring it with you on the day of the event.

To reduce waste and to be eco-friendly, please bring your own drink bottle and cup (for use at the hote water (tea/coffee) stations)
Access by train and bus About 15min walk from Yatsushiro station on the JR/Hisatsu Orange railway line.
10min by car from JR Shin Yatsushiro station
Other access From Aso Kumamoto airport there is a direct bus to Yatsushiro (the Super Banpeiyu service) which is convenient. (Approx. 50min)

Course: Start at Nihonsugi toge (pass) observatory and finish at Sendan Toroo (approx. 10km)
Capacity limit: First 45 people (minimum of 12 people required)
Entry fee: 17,000yen (1 night acomm with 3 meals)

Points to note There will be hot tea stations and checkpoint times.
In the interests of safety, all participants must follow the instructions and directions of event staff.
For each course, you are not allowed to depart before the leader or start once the anchor has left. (There may also be circumstances where you may not receive the checkpoint stamp or receive hot tea rrefreshment).
For those who wish to register the day before the event starts, pre-registration will be available on Thursday May 9 at the event venue (Kumagawa Kasenjiki riverside area). Registration hours are 2:30pm to 4:30pm.
Terms and Conditions (Contract) Scope of disclaimer
Participants should receive medical check-up/clearance in advance and take full responsibility for health management. Please note that in the event of an accident and/or a participant is injured, the Race Organiser will not be responsible for anything other than first aid measures within the scope of accident insurance policy that the organizer is covered by. Also, in the event of an accident or incident such as natural disaster, stormy weather, flu epidemic, disease outbreak, etc., the event may be canceled. If that is the case, please ntoe that there will be no refund of the entry fee nor the issuance or sending of a completion certificate and participant souvenir or event goods.

Prohibited matters
It is prohibited to bring/display/carry/use any kind of bulletin board, notice board, standing sign board, banner, flag, placard, number card, document, drawing, or other printed material etc that the event organiser judges to be inappropriate. Such action and use of materials is prohibited.
1) Displaying or expressing or associations with political or religious ideology, assertions or ideas.
2) Including discrimnatory, insulting, offensive conduct or display.
3) It is prohibited to carry out any action/conduct/operation that may interfere with the running and operation of the event.

Information regarding personal information
Personal infortmation provided at the time of registration will not be used for any other purpose than in relation to this event. However please note any photos or images taken of you during the course of the event is the property of the Race Organiser and may be published and used in newspapers, magazines, website, poster, advertising/marketing etc.
