Seventy minutes by express train from Tokyo Station, Isumi City is a treasured land of rich food ingredients. Facing the Pacific Ocean where the Oyashio and Kuroshio currents meet, Isumi City is also blessed with one of the best fishing grounds in Japan. This second annual event also offers special dishes using Isumi’s ingredients. This special dish will be prepared by Mr. Keizo Sugimoto (ambassador of Isumi and owner of the restaurant, Restaurant La FinS, which has been awarded a star in the ”Michelin Guide Tokyo” for four consecutive years) and by young chefs representing Japan. You can enjoy ingredients which are the pride of Isumi City, such as lobster soup, local fish sashimi, and award-winning cheese. We will also introduce a local, limited-edition sake ”Kido Izumi” made from organic, pesticide-free rice grown in the area.
