Look forward to an extraordinary marathon! From start to finish there are over 240 artists and acts: bands, drummers, walkers on stilts and lots more. Over 100,000 excited spectators cheer you on. In 2012 about 8,000 runners from 33 different nations participated in the marathon. The Volksbank-Muenster-Marathon is one of the best organized marathons in Germany. You will find physicians on cyclists, medical points, constant medical attention for diabetics as well as excellent ration and water stations. And the warm showers are also not to be forgotten. The mixture of the Volksbank-Muenster-Marathon with its historical reputation and the beauty of the scenic countryside is a marathon that should not be missed.

Participation	Entitled participants must be born before 1995 and must have received their official VolksbankMuenster-Marathon start number. The start number is non-transferable, should not be changed and must be worn visible on the front of the runners’ shirt.
Organization	The Volksbank-Muenster-Marathon operates under the rules and regulations of the IAAF and the DLV.
Ratings	Classification according to age in accordance with DLO (German track and field regulations): M/F Youth, main class (HK), M/F 30, 35, 40, 45 etc. Team results are calculated by adding the finishing times of the first three runners of each association. Please ensure that the name of the association is written consistently.
Timing	The race is only timed by using the ChampionChip system. If you don’t have a Real-TimeChampion-Chip you can rent one from us for 5 Euro when you pick up your start number. You will have pay a deposit fee of 30 Euro and we will pay you back 25 Euro when the Champion-Chip is returned on race day.
Distribution of prizes	Position 1 – 6 Prize-money 1st male/1st female 2500 Euro 2nd male/2nd female 1500 Euro 3rd male/3rd female 750 Euro 4th male/4th female 300 Euro 5th male/5th female 200 Euro 6th male/6th female 100 Euro
Position 1 – 3	Non-cash prizes will be awarded to all age groups and teams (men and women) - according to DLO.
Marathon record	A bonus of 3000 Euro for a new marathon record.
Presentation ceremony	At 1:15 pm on the stage at the finish line.

Deadline	Closing date for written registration is the 30th of August 2013.
Late entry participation	You may have still a chance to start, if you pick up your start number until the 7th of September, 4 pm. Late registration may be limited or excluded because of organizational reasons.
